Federal Way High School graduate Aaron Broussard is the leading scorer on the Seattle University Redhawk basketball team. The junior guard/forward is averaging 14.4 points and 7.8 rebounds a game for the 11-19 Redhawks.

Seattle University, which is playing as a Division I independent school, finished up its season on Thursday against Portland State. Broussard scored a season-high 26 points during a 75-70 win over Navy on Nov. 21.

The Redhawks have wins this season over Oregon State, Virginia and Eastern Washington, among others.

Other Federal Way school district graduates playing college basketball:

Pooh Williams — The Federal Way grad is playing his senior season at Utah State. The 6-foot-4 guard has started 30 of 31 games and is averaging 8.6 points. Utah State is 28-3 on the year and 15-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. The Aggies have played in the NCAA Tournament the last two seasons and are currently the 17th-ranked team in the nation.

Utah State will kick off the WAC Tournament on Thursday against Idaho as the the top seed.

Last year, Williams started 32 games and was named the Western Athletic Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year by The Sporting News. He finished the year averaging 8.7 points and 1.8 rebounds.

Isiah Umipig — The 2010 Federal Way High School graduate finished his freshman season at Cal State Fullerton. The guard played in all 30 of the Titans’ games this year, starting six. He averaged 7.6 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists a game. Cal State Fullerton was 11-19 overall and 7-9 in the Big West Conference.

The 6-footer averaged 14.1 points a game for Federal Way last year. Umipig also led the South Puget Sound League in assists at 7.4 a game and shot an amazing 93.8 from the free-throw line during the regular season.

Cole Dickerson — The 2010 Federal Way grad is playing his freshman season at the University of San Francisco. The 6-foot-7 forward has played in 24 USF games and is averaging 8.4 minutes a game. Dickerson is scoring two points a game and grabbing 2.3 rebounds. The Dons are 17-14 on the season, including wins over Colorado, Portland and Gonzaga. San Francisco lost to Gonzaga in the semifinals of the West Coast Conference Tournament Sunday, 71-67.

During his senior year Dickerson was one of the most consistent players in the state after averaging 22.9 points and nine rebounds a game.

Michael Hale — The Federal Way graduate just finished his sophomore season at North Idaho College. Hale was second in the Scenic West Athletic Conference averaging 18.2 points and 4.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game for North Idaho this season. The Cardinals finished 23-9 on the season.

The 5-foot-9 point guard was selected to the NJCAA All-American second team after averaging 11.7 points, 4.1 assists and 1.3 steals a game for the Cardinals as a freshman. North Idaho finished eighth at the NJCAA National Tournament.

Jordan McCloud — The 2010 Decatur High School graduate is currently red-shirting at North Idaho College. McCloud signed to play at Seattle University but is spending the next two years at North Idaho while earning his associate’s degree. He will then have three years of basketball eligibility when he transfers to Seattle University in 2012.

McCloud was the Gators’ best post player last year and was a first-team, All-SPSL South Division selection. He averaged 16.8 points and 12 rebounds a game for Decatur and also shot 50 percent from the field.

Cam Schilling — The 2009 Decatur graduate recently finished playing on the Pacific Lutheran basketball team. Schilling, a 6-foot-4 forward, started 24 games for the Lutes this season and averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds a game. PLU finished 15-10 overall and 10-6 in conference play this season.

Eric Radford — The 2010 Thomas Jefferson grad recently finished playing his freshman season at the University of Redlands in California. The 6-foot-5 guard played in 18 games for the 16-12 Bulldogs and averaged 1.3 points a game.

Dan Young — The 6-foot-10 Federal Way grad recently finished his junior year at Western Washington after two seasons at Highline CC. The center played in 26 games for the Vikings this season and averaged 4.5 points and 3.2 rebounds a game. Western was 16-11 on the year.

Jeffrey Forbes — The 2009 Federal Way High School grad finished playing his sophomore season at Eastern Washington. The point guard started 23 games this season and averaged 9.8 points and 2.6 rebounds a game for the Eagles. Last year, Forbes averaged 10.5 points as a true freshman.

Eastern finished 10-20 on the season and 7-9 in the Big Sky Conference.

Terrell Smith — The Federal Way grad is playing his senior season at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. The 6-foot-4 guard has started all 30 games this season for the Tigers and is averaging 7.3  points and 4.5 rebounds. Pacific is 16-14 on the season and 8-8 in the Big West Conference. The Tigers open up the Big West Tournament on Friday.

Kevin Davis — The 2010 Beamer graduate is playing this season at Tacoma Community College as a freshman. The Titans are the top-ranked team in the NWAACC with an 22-2 record and 11-0 in league play. Davis is averaging 8.9 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks a game.

According to several, Davis will play at the University of Washington after getting his associate’s degree at TCC.

Davis averaged 21.3 points per game and was held in single-digits just once last season at Beamer. Davis tallied eight points in a loss to Kentwood in a winner-to-state, loser-out game at districts. Davis also led the SPSL in rebounding for the second year in a row at 15.3 a game and blocked an amazing 6.6 shots a game. He was named the SPSL South Most Valuable Player.

Stedman Richardson — The Decatur grad is playing his senior season at Northwest University in Kirkland. The 6-foot-3 guard played two seasons at Highline CC. Richardson has started 15 games and is averaging 6.5 points and 3.2 rebounds a game. Northwest is 21-7 on the season.

Darious Walker — The Decatur grad is playing his first season at Northwest Nazarene. The 6-foot-6 junior transferred from Tacoma CC. He has played in all 27 games and started 12 for Northwest Nazarene and is averaging 10.0 points and 3.9 rebounds a game. Northwest Nazarene is 15-12 on the season.

“Darious is very athletic and he can rebound it,” said head coach Tim Hills said. “When he sets his mind to it, he can really defend you, but we need him to be more consistent doing that.”

Xavyr Moss — The 2009 Jefferson grad recently finished playing at Pomona/Pitzer College in Claremont, Calif. The sophomore played in all 25 games for the Sagehens and averaged a team-best 13.9 points a game. Pomona-Pitzer finished 9-16 on the season.

Justin Lanier, Derek Eilertson and Dakin Wanquist — Lanier, a 2010 TJ grad,  Eilertson, a 2009 TJ grad, and Wanquist, a Beamer grad, recently finished playing at Green River CC. Wanquist averaged 6.2 points and 4.0 assists a game and Lanier averaged 4.2 points and Eilertson averaged 4.2 points. Green River finished 13-11 on the season.

Robert Christopher — The 2010 Federal Way grad is playing his freshman season at Highline CC. Christopher is averaging 9.0 points and 4.2 rebounds a game. Highline is currently 19-8 on the season and 11-5 in the Western Division.

Anthony Williams — The Decatur grad is currently playing at Peninsula College. Williams is a 6-3 forward and is averaging 4.95 points and 6.5 rebounds a game. Peninsula is 20-7 on the season.

Cramer Doughty — The Jefferson grad is playing his sophomore season at Pierce College. He is a 6-3 guard and is averaging 6.9 points and 2.9 rebounds. Pierce is 22-6 on the season.
