Ross Humes — The Decatur grad is playing his junior year on the Washington State University baseball team. Humes, a left-handed pitcher, is currently 1-0 in six appearances with two saves and a 0.00 earned-run average. The Cougars are 10-2 overall in the early season.
Last year, Humes made 25 appearances out of the bullpen and posted a 3-3 record with 12 saves, 4.70 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 44 innings. The 12 saves set a Cougar single-season record.
Matt Hart — The 2007 Beamer graduate is currently playing his freshman season on the Washington State baseball team. The infielder has played in one game and scored a run.
Jamie Nilsen — The 2003 TJ grad is having another huge season on the Central Washington University baseball team. The shortstop is currently leading the Wildcats with a .415 average, 20 runs, nine doubles, two triples and 20 RBIs.
Central is currently 10-9 overall and ranked eighth in a national NAIA poll. Nilsen hit his school-record-tying 21st career home run earlier this season. Nilsen already owns Central records for career triples (9), at bats (553), runs (177), total bases (324), hits (208), runs batted in (124), doubles (41) and walks (78).
Jason Summers — The 2006 TJ grad originally signed a letter of intent to play at the University of Washington, but ended up at South Mountain Community College in Arizona. Summers is one of four Federal Way School District players at South Mountain. He was a first-team, all-state catcher last year at TJ.
As a freshman at SMCC last year, Summers was the top offensive player for the Cougars, hitting .337, 14 doubles, and 43 runs batted in. Summers hit in the third spot of the line-up and played first base in 2007.
South Mountain is currently 18-5 overall and Summers is hitting .378 with 16 RBIs, one home run, five doubles and 13 runs.
Jarett Jackson — The 2006 TJ grad originally signed with Washington State, but ended up at South Mountain Community College last year as a freshman, where he hit .273 with one homer and 22 RBIs. The third baseman was a late draft pick by the Cleveland Indians in 2006.
Jackson is now playing his sophomore season for the University of Washington. This year, Jackson is hitting .208 in seven starts for the 5-6 Huskies. He has three doubles and two RBIs.
Aaron Bronson — The TJ grad is playing his senior year at Centenary College in Louisiana. The 6-4, 235-pound pitcher spent his first two seasons at Green River. Bronson is currently 0-0 with a 1.29 ERA in four appearances. Bronson has one save in seven innings of work. Centenary is currently 9-2 on the season.

Jeremy Miller — The 2006 Beamer graduate is playing his freshman season on the Central baseball team. The outfielder is hitting .125 in six starts.
Brad Reid — The Decatur grad has returned to Bellevue Community College for his sophomore season. Reid should be the top returning pitcher in the NWAACC. Last year, he was 8-1 with two saves and earned first-team All-NWAACC and led Bellevue to the NWAACC championship. He had an amazing earned-run average of 0.19 in league play and struck out 67 hitters in 65 innings. Reid pitched last summer for the Corvallis (Ore.) Knights in the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 2006.
BA Garner — The Decatur grad is pitching for Hawaii Pacific after playing the last two years at Tacoma Community College. Garner currently is 2-0 with a 2.16 ERA in 10 appearances and leads the team with six saves. Hawaii Pacific is currently 16-6 overall.
Kyle Nunley — The TJ grad is playing his senior year at Benedictine College in Kansas. Nunley, a right-handed pitcher, played at Green River during his freshman and sophomore seasons.
Todd Muecklisch — The 2006 TJ grad is playing shortstop at Tacoma Community College.
Donny McConnaughey — The 2007 Federal Way High School graduate is playing his freshman season at Tacoma Community College. McConnaughey is a left-handed pitcher.
Erik Church, Andy Racus and Marcus Hudson — Church, a 2006 TJ grad, Racus, a 2007 Federal Way grad, and Hudson, a 2006 Decatur grad, are all playing at Shoreline Community College. Church is an outfielder, Racus is an infielder and Hudson is a left-handed pitcher.
Travis Warnock — The Jefferson grad is currently pitching at Pierce College in Tacoma.
Brad Carter and Brady Kincannon — The 2007 Decatur High School grads are both playing at Western Oregon. Carter is a right-handed pitcher and Kincannon is a third baseman.
Brock Gates — The 2007 Decatur graduate is currently playing first base at the University of Washington. Gates has yet to get an at-bat this season.
Dustin Horsfall — The 2007 Federal Way High School grad is on the roster at the University of Washington. Horsfall is a right-handed pitcher and hasn’t thrown an inning this season.
Carsten Bocchi — The 2006 Todd Beamer graduate is currently redshirting at Washington State University. The left-handed pitcher missed most of his senior season at Beamer after complications from a blood clot in his left arm. Bocchi was the SPSL South Player of the Year as a junior.
McKinley Williams — The Todd Beamer graduate is currently running track at Western Washington University. The freshman is a distance runner.
Chris Williams — The Decatur grad is currently running on the Washington State University track team. Williams is a red-shirt junior and also runs cross country for the Cougars. He finished 40th overall at the Pac-10 Cross Country Championships and 184th overall at the national championships.
Princess Joy Griffey — The 2006 Decatur grad is running on the Washington State track team. Griffey is competing in her freshman year for the Cougars and running in sprint events. She finished third in the 100-meters in an April 27 meet against Washington.
