Eastern Washington University recently recognized Sophie Miller with the Keva Sonderen Award.

Miller, a 2013 graduate of Todd Beamer High School, plays volleyball at Eastern Washington University.

Each year, the university’s volleyball program honors one of its members for superior work during the spring season.

The award is given to the player who best exhibits strong work ethic, perseverance, character and a team-first attitude, particularly with regard to strength and conditioning, according to the university’s website.
