Forwards
Ugo Okoli, Beamer
The senior lived up to all the hype that surrounded him all season long. Okoli led the Titans into the state quarterfinals with an eye-popping 25 goals and 15 assists. The Wake Forest-bound striker has also made several appearances on the United States’ Under-18 National Team and plays for the prestigious Seattle Sounders FC Academy Team. Okoli had eight games this season where he tallied multiple goals, including four hat tricks.
Dominique Dismuke, Decatur
The junior was the leading scorer for the Gators with seven goals and four assists on the season. Dismuke, a member of the Sounders FC Academy program, had two goals and two assists during a 4-1 win over Peninsula on April 4.
Odason Pelogi, Federal Way
The freshman had a huge first year for the Eagles. Pelogi led Federal Way with 16 goals during the season and had a pair of hat tricks and also tallied four goals during a win over Bethel on March 30. Pelogi was a first-team, All-SPSL South selection.
Isidro Prado-Huerta, Jefferson
The sophomore finished the season with six goals and two assists for the Raiders. The performance was good enough to earn first-team, All-SPSL North honors by the league’s coaches. Prado-Huerta had two goals during a 3-0 win over Mount Rainier on April 22.
Midfield
Chase Hanson, Jefferson
The senior center midfielder earned the SPSL North’s Most Valuable Player and will play in the fall at Barry University in Miami. Hanson led the Raiders in scoring this season with 11 goals and 12 assists and helped TJ finish second in the SPSL North behind Kentwood.
Hanson plays for the prestigious Seattle Sounders FC Academy Team and has started in all four of his seasons at Jefferson. Hanson had three multi-goal games, including a hat trick during a 6-1 win over Kentridge on March 18.
Troy Peterson, Beamer
The midfielder again proved to be one of the best players in the state and why he was a four-star recruit. Peterson finished the year with 19 goals and 16 assists for the Titans. He scored at least one goal in 13 games this season and scored the only goal during Beamer’s win over Kentwood in the SPSL title game.
Peterson, who also plays on the Sounders FC Academy Team, will attend the College of Charleston in South Carolina in the fall. The program is a staple in the NCAA Tournament.
Ike Crook, Beamer
The diminutive midfielder was third on the Titans’ in scoring with 13 goals and 11 assists. Crook had a hat trick during a 5-0 win over Spanaway Lake on April 4 and is the son of former professional soccer defender Billy Crook, who played with the Seattle Sounders and Tacoma Stars.
Austin Sweeney, Beamer
The sophomore had another solid season for the Titans. Sweeney totaled eight goals and seven assists and took a bulk of Beamer’s corner and free kicks. He is also a member of the Sounders FC Academy.
Ali Villalon, Decatur
The Gator midfielder was a first-team, All-SPSL 3A selection after a productive 2011 season. Villalon, a senior, finished with three goals from the the middle of the field, helping the Gators finish in a tie for first in the SPSL 3A.
Jimmy Oganga, Jefferson
The midfielder finished second on the Raiders in scoring with 11 goals and nine assists during the season. Oganga had three two-goal games, including a pair during a big 3-2 win over Tahoma on April 4.
Oganga is a native of Kenya and also plays for the Sounders FC Academy and was a first-team, All-SPSL North selection.
Casey Kim, Jefferson
The junior was selected as a first-team, All-SPSL North midfielder for the second year in a row after compiling three goals and seven assists for the Raiders. Kim is also a Sounders FC Academy player.
Defense
Brandon Brockway, Beamer
The senior transferred to Beamer from Stadium High School before the soccer season and paid immediate dividends for the Titans. The Oregon State-signee finished with seven goals and nine assists despite playing defense. Brockway had two goals during a 4-0 win over Tahoma in the first-round of the state playoffs. He also plays with the Sounders FC Academy Team.
Dan Tran, Beamer
Tran was a first-team, All-SPSL South selection after helping the Beamer defense pitch 12 shutouts during the season while allowing only 12 goals total. Tran also finished with two goals and four assists for the Titans.
Jon Peters, Decatur
The senior defender was a first-team, All-SPSL 3A selection by the league’s coaches after leading the Gators’ backline all season. Peters helped Decatur pitch six shutouts in league play.
Carson Wright, Jefferson
The Raider defender led an impressive backline group during the season. Wright, a first-team, All-SPSL North selection, helped TJ throw 11 shutouts during the year. Wright also had one assist during the season.
Goalkeepers
Zach Gippe, Decatur
The Gator senior was a stalwart at the back of Decatur’s defense after replacing Connor Adkisson, who suffered a knee injury playing for the Sounders FC Academy Team. Gippe was a first-team, All-SPSL 3A goalkeeper and had a hand in six shutouts for the Gators.
Ben Willis, Federal Way
The freshman was a first-team, All-SPSL South Division selection by the league’s coaches in his first year at Federal Way. Willis helped the young and inexperienced Eagles advance into the West Central District Tournament. Federal Way allowed only 20 goals during the entire season.
