A pair of Federal Way soccer players were named first-team, All-State earlier this week by the Washington State Soccer Coaches Association.

Jefferson senior Lindsey Dahl and Beamer junior Jenny Hoefel were selected by WSSCA members and other high school coaches.

Dahl was truly a goal-scoring machine for the Raiders during her stellar career. Dahl finished this season with an amazing 28 goals and five assists for TJ in just 18 matches. In total, the Raiders scored 41 goals during the season and their second-highest goal scorer finished the year with three. As a junior, Dahl was named first-team all-state. She was the co-Most Valuable Player in the SPSL North, finishing with 20 goals and four assists to lead the SPSL. She had six multi-goal games, including three hat tricks.

During her career, Dahl scored a grand total of 63 goals for Jefferson, including nine as a freshman and six as a sophomore.

Dahl is also very accomplished in track and field. As a sophomore and junior, she qualified for the state meet in multiple individual events.

Hoefel burst onto the scene this season for the SPSL South Division champion Titans. She led Beamer in scoring and was named the Most Valuable Player in the SPSL South.

Hoefel finished the season with 18 goals and seven assists for the Titans. She had seven multi-goal games and seemed to get better as the season progressed. In Beamer’s first-round state tournament win over Issaquah, Hoefel finished with a pair of goals. She also had multiple goals in four-straight matches in the middle of the season for the Titans.

Beamer senior Jasmine Brilliante was named to the Class 4A second-team. Brilliante was the leader of the Titans’ ultra-talented midfield. Brilliante was a first-team, All-SPSL South selection by the league’s coaches after finishing second to Hoefel in scoring for the Titans. Brilliante tallied 11 goals and had two assists.
