The Thomas Jefferson girls soccer team will play in the postseason.

The Raiders beat Kentlake Friday afternoon, 4-2, and got a little help from the Mount Rainier Rams to earn the South Puget Sound League North Division’s fifth, and final, berth to the playoffs.

To earn the postseason berth, needed to beat Kentlake and have Mount Rainier beat Auburn Riverside, who sat two points ahead of TJ entering the final game.

Jefferson senior Lindsey Dahl tallied all four goals during the Raiders’ win, which moved TJ to 6-7-3 in the SPSL North. Jefferson played Rogers Tuesday (after press time) for the SPSL’s ninth and 10th seeds to the West Central District Tournament. The loser of the TJ-Rogers match will play Thursday against the third-place team from the Greater St. Helen’s League for a berth into districts.

At the Class 3A level, the Decatur Gators ended their regular season with a 2-0 loss to Auburn Mountainview Thursday afternoon. The loss left the Gators 6-4-0 in the SPSL 3A division and in fourth place.

Decatur will take on Kennedy Catholic at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Highline Stadium in Burien. Kennedy finished third in the Seamount League with a 7-1-3 record.

Beamer

The Todd Beamer Titans will take on the Kentwood Conquerors in the SPSL title game at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup. Kentwood won the SPSL North with a 14-1-1 record and enter the postseason as the defending Class 4A state champions.
