Secoma Lanes will host bowling royalty starting July 15

Secoma Lanes will have bowling royalty throwing strikes in Federal Way starting Thursday, July 15.

Professional standouts Parker Bohn III, Carmen Salvino and Carolyn Dorin-Ballard are coming to town to conduct a pair of two-hour clinics. The threesome is in Federal Way for the Professional Bowlers Association Regional Tournament. Secoma Lanes is hosting the event from July 15-18. Aside from the clinics, there will also be a pro-am tournament during the four days, where close to 600 participants are expected to compete.

Bohn highlights the list of professionals in Federal Way. The left-hander has won 32 professional bowling titles and has bowled an amazing 300 games. He has won titles in five-straight seasons and was named the PBA Player of the Year twice. Bohn is also a member of the PBA Hall of Fame.

Salvino is a founding member of the Professional Bowlers Association and won 17 titles during his playing days. He was among the eight original inductees into the PBA Hall of Fame and is ranked 17th on the PBA’s 50 Greatest Players.

Dorin-Ballard has won 20 Professional Women’s Bowling Association national titles and holds a PBA tour record for the most consecutive strikes on TV with 20. She was the first woman to bowl a 300 in a PBA event.

The two clinics will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on July 15.
