The Federal Way boys track and field team have been unbeatable in the South Puget Sound League Central Division — literally.

The Eagles’ last dual-meet, regular-season loss came back in 2007 when they finished second behind Kentwood in the SPSL North Division. Since then, Federal Way has won the last four league championships and seem to be on their way to its fifth-straight.

The Eagles moved to 3-0 in the SPSL Central with an 88-47 victory over Todd Beamer Wednesday at Federal Way Memorial Stadium.

Federal Way got a pair of individual event wins from senior D.J. May and junior Aaron Persinger during the meet. May, a running back headed to the University of Wyoming, won the 100 meters in 11.45 and the long jump with a leap of 20-feet-9. Persinger swept the 110 hurdles (15.6) and 300 hurdles (39.87).

The Eagles’ other victories came from Michael Tate in the 200 (23.38), Albert Havili in the shot put (49-2), JayTee Tiuli in the discus (129-7), Mathias Forward in the pole vault (11-6) and Keenan Curran in the triple jump (42-9.75). Federal Way also won both relay races.

Beamer picked up a pair of wins from Austin Jex in the two distance races Wednesday. The freshman won the 1,600 in 4:40.00 and 3,200 in 10:19.32. Th Titans’ other victories came from Terry McCray in the 400 (55.22), Keplar House in the 800 (2:07.43) and Willie Roach in the high jump (6-2).

On the girls’ side, Federal Way and Beamer ran to a 70.5-70.5 tie Wednesday.

Beamer got two wins from sophomore Alanna Vann in the 100 (12.97) and 200 (26.99) and single victories from Miranda Vaara in the high jump (4-10), TreAnna Culp in the shot put (30-1.5), Kiernan Reitz in the pole vault (8-0), Chante Stotser in the 400 (1:01.17) and Megan Anderson in the 800 (2:41.07).

Federal Way got a pair of wins from Ta’Mara Richey in the long jump (17-6.75) and triple jump (34-0) and Khiana Duncan in the 1,600 (5:45.67) and 3,200 (12:41.0). Other wins came from Luaipou Lologo in the discus (100-0.5) and Mariyah Vongsaveng in the 100 hurdles (17.11).

SOCCER

Jefferson — The sixth-ranked Raiders (7-2-1) slipped past the Kentridge Chargers Wednesday night at Federal Way Memorial Stadium.

The only goal of the match was tallied by junior Tyler Hamashima in the 37th minute on a pass from Rodrigo Robles. John David McCleary earned the shutout in net for the Raiders.

Jefferson hosts Kentlake on Friday night.

Decatur — The fourth-ranked Gators got the best of the Bonney Lake Panthers Wednesday night on the road, 2-1. Decatur (8-1-1) got goals from Jimmy Hong and Taylor Weatherly during the SPSL 3A Division contest.

The Gators will take on Auburn Mountainview on the road Friday.

TENNIS

Decatur — The Gators were upended by Enumclaw Wednesday, 3-2. The Gators’ two wins came from Darian Kueter at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-4, and Taylor Meadows and Anna Mernen at No. 3 doubles, 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.
