The Decatur girls soccer team continues to roll through the South Puget Sound League South Division. The Gators (4-0-1) remained unbeaten with a 2-0 shutout of the Rogers Rams Thursday night.
The Gators got goals from Lauren O’Neal and Hannah Herbert and a shutout in goal by Kayla Lipston. Emerald Ridge leads the South Division with a 5-0-0 record. Decatur and Emerald Ridge played last night (after press time).
Beamer improved to 4-1-0 with a 4-2 win over Puyallup Thursday. The Titans got goals from Holland Crook, Tiarra Fentress, Jasmine Brilliante and Sara Miller.
Lindsey Dahl had a hat trick Thursday during Jefferson’s 6-1 win over Kent-Meridian Thursday. The Raiders (2-3-1) also got goals from Hayley Albrecht, Chelsea Jensen and Hannah Friedman.
Golf
The Decatur girls remained unbeaten, dominating the Auburn Riverside Ravens Thursday at Tapps Island Golf Course. The Gators won 97-65.
Decatur got an even-par, 35 from Stacey Blunt and a pair of 44s from Amanda Beyke and Samantha Zeeb.
Alexus Song earned medalist honors with a 41 during Jefferson’s 56-8 win over Beamer Thursday at the Sumner Meadows Golf Course.
Federal Way squeaked by Curtis Thursday at Meadow Park Golf Course, 55-53. Emily Victor earned medalist honors by shooting a 44 on the par-36 course.
Tennis
The Thomas Jefferson Raiders remained unbeaten in the SPSL Central Division with a 4-1 win over second-place Beamer Thursday afternoon. The Raiders moved to 6-0 in the division, while the Titans moved into a three-way tie for second with Auburn Riverside and Federal Way. All three teams sit 3-3.
Jefferson got wins against Beamer from Branden Muraki at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-4, Makoa and Kainoa Rosa at No. 1 doubles, 6-4, 6-3, Brandyn Gomez and Kyle Creek at No. 2 doubles, 6-1, 6-0, and James Lee and Michael Suh at No. 3 doubles, 6-0, 6-0.
Beamer’s lone victory came from Joseph Dela Cruz at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 7-5.
