The Thomas Jefferson Raider softball team lost their first South Puget Sound League North Division game Friday to the Kentlake Falcons, 4-3. Kentlake scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to overcome a 3-2 TJ lead.
The Raiders (8-2 overall, 6-1 SPSL North) outhit Kentlake, 10-7, including a pair of hits from Christi Bruin, Cassidy DeWaele and Hannah Kiyohara.
The loss came a day after the Raiders scored a run in the top of the seventh to break a 1-1 tie. Katie Jackson got the win on the mound by going seven innings and allowing five hits.
Bruin and Allie Crowe scored the Raiders’ two runs and DeWaele finished with a double.
Puyallup dominated Beamer Thursday, 11-1. The Titans (5-4 overall, 3-3 SPSL South) got two hits each from Brianne Grosche, Sarah Petosa and Courtney Taylor.
Emerald Ridge scored five runs in their final two at bats Thursday to beat Decatur, 5-4. The Gators (3-6 overall, 2-4 SPSL South) tallied the first four runs of the game.
