The top-ranked Federal Way Eagles remained unbeaten in the South Puget Sound League South Division with a 78-43 blowout of the Todd Beamer Titans Friday night.
The Titans kept it close during the first-half against the ultra-deep and talented Eagles. Federal Way led only 17-15 after the first quarter and held only a 34-28 lead at halftime.
But the third quarter proved to be the turning point in the game. The Eagles outscored the Titans, 26-4, during the period to take total control of the game.
Federal Way (9-1 overall, 7-0) had four players score in double figures, led by the 20 points of Talia Walton. Junior Darah Huertas-Vining finished with 18, Ty Burgess had 16 and Raven Benton chipped in 14 points.
Beamer (6-5, 3-4) was led by the 18 points of Shyla Akins, who was the only Titan in double figures. Meghan Graf finished with eight points.

at Jefferson 48, Kentlake 34 — After an extremely low-scoring first half, the Raiders’ offense erupted in the second half to down Kentlake at home Friday night.
Jefferson (4-6, 3-4) tallied only 14 points in the first two quarters, but held the Falcons to only eight points during the same time. The second half featured a lot more offense, with TJ outscoring Kentlake in the third and fourth quarters, 34-26.
The Raiders were led by the 15 points of Jada Piper and 14 from Christy Kullberg.
at Bonney Lake 49, Decatur 44 — The Gators fell to 1-1 in the SPSL 3A Division with an overtime loss to the Bonney Lake Panthers Friday night.
The Gators (4-7, 1-1) fell behind 14-6 after the first quarter, but got back in the fame by outscoring Bonney Lake, 15-8, during the third quarter to tie the game.
But the Panthers were able to outscore the Gators, 8-3, during the four-minute overtime session to get the win in Bonney Lake. Decatur got 19 points from Alexis Cole and 15 from A’yesia Rogers.
The Gators also lost another close game Saturday to Kent-Meridian, 54-52, in a non-leaguer at home. Decatur was led by the 14 points of senior Kayla Lipston and 12 from Rogers.
