Several athletes from the Federal Way Track Club (FWTC) have earned the right to compete at the USATF Junior Olympic Track & Field National Championships in Sacramento, Calif.
To qualify for the national meet, these athletes had to first finish in the top-eight at the local USATF Junior Olympic (JO) Track & Field Association Championships, which took place June 26 and 27. They then had to finish top-three at the USATF Junior Olympic Track & Field Regional Championships. The Regional meet consisted of the top-three finishers from Western Washington, Eastern Washington and Oregon. That meet took place July 11 and 12.
