In honor of the Seattle Seahawks making the playoffs for the 2022 season (shoutout Detroit Lions), Federal Way City Hall is showing support for the hometown team.
The Seahawks defied the odds of many people in the sports world this season with a 9-8 record and a playoff birth. On Sunday, Jan. 8, the Hawks beat the Los Angeles Rams 19-16 at home.
The Hawks play Saturday, Jan. 14, on the road at Santa Clara, Calif., against the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners have taken Seattle down twice this season already — both at their home and ours. In fact, all of the playoffs games during Super Wild Card Weekend, as the NFL is calling it, have been deemed “revenge games.”
No one is more pumped for Seattle to beat the Niners than Head Coach Pete Carroll who was seen riding a scooter Tuesday on Seahawks social media as players danced around a facility hallway.
The Hawks-Niners will put toe to leather at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.
