Federal Way’s Reign ‘97 Black, a select under-13 girls soccer team, came in first place within their division at the Federal Way Blastoff Tournament earlier this month.

The Federal Way girls went undefeated during the tournament with two wins and a tie to make it to the finals. During the championship game, the score was tied and 0-0 until late in the second half, when they scored a goal on a breakaway to win the game.

The team includes Claudia Ahsmann, McKenna Burton, Sofia Canas Kinzer, Kennedy Davis, Kaylan Fossett, Julian Johnson, Adriana Kautzman, Kylie Mader, Bryenna Marshall, Emma Muigai, Marite Ortiz, Emily Randall, Kristina Spaur, Kellie Twitchell, Jina Yoo, with guest players Sara Boucher, Chalise Dow, Emma Lynch and Kendall Slattery. The team is coached by Mark Froes and assisted by Shannon Simonsen.
