Decatur High School’s Tae Hyung Kim, boys tennis, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Sept. 28.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: My favorite class is orchestra.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?
A: I like to watch TV, play Pingpong, eat, and hangout with my friends.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My dad has helped me succeed the most.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: I listen to music and joke around with my teammates since it gets rid of the nerves.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: Mission Impossible Fallout theme song.

Tae Hyung Kim is Decatur High School boys tennis No. 1 singles player. He is currently undefeated in Decatur’s first seven matches, leading the team to a 6-1 record. In his two matches last week, his opponents were unable to win a single game. Tae also exhibited outstanding leadership as a senior this season.
