Decatur High School’s Chris Santana-Suarez, track and field, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for May 24.

A: P.E.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: Playing basketball.

A: My coach, Isaac Ochoa.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: Post-game tradition is eating teriyaki after the meets.

From the sideline: Decatur junior Chris Santana-Suarez is a member of the Decatur High School track and field program. Chris has excelled in several sprinting events this season. His current best times for 200 meters are in the West Central District top 10 and for his 100 meter times, he lands among the top 20. He finished in first place in the 100 and 200 meters at the Bellevue Invite. Chris is earning a 3.525 cumulative grade point average with a schedule that emphasizes college preparation.
