Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Jan. 13: Sekou Bangoura

TBHS junior wrestler is team captain and a three-sport athlete.

Todd Beamer High School junior Sekou Bangoura, wrestling, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Jan. 13:

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Math.

Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: I love studying philosophy and political views.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My brother inspired me to do sports and I look up to him.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?

A: Whenever you do something, do it the best you can, so I dedicate my time and effort in my sports.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal.

A: I adopt a killer mentality, making my opponent want to quit. Then I usually eat sweet

fruits after.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Already Won” by Rod Wave.

From the sidelines: TBHS junior Sekou Bangoura is a leader by action and he displays his tremendous work ethic in all endeavors. He is a fierce competitor! He is a team leader, supporting all of his teammates in practice or competitions. Sekou is vital to the Titans’ team as a person of character and a leader on and off the mat. Sekou has a 3.367 GPA. Sekou is team captain and a three-sport athlete in football, wrestling, and track. Sekou is a Character Strong Mentor and he is on the Principal’s Advisory Committee.
