From the Sideline
“Ruth is the big hitter for the girls bowling team,” coach Mike David said. “She has a season average of 175 and has had several high-scoring games. In our last match against Kennedy, Ruth bowled in the fifth position on the team and rolled a 202 to effectively put the Kennedy girls out of contention for a win. As one of the team captains, Ruth exhibits a quiet confidence and positive attitude while leading by example. She regularly speaks with the other bowlers on the team and gives them pointers and, with the rest of the Decatur bowling team, helps out with the Special Olympics.”
The Athlete of the Week is sponsored by Eagle Tire, Federal Way Public Schools and Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse.
