Decatur High School senior Sophia Smith, girls soccer, is the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Oct. 14.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: My favorite class subject is science or the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program I’m in at the Puget Sound Skills Center.
Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: I enjoy spending time with my friends and working.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My parents for always pushing me to do my best and being there to support me.
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone (living or from the past), who would it be? Why?
A: My grandpa — he passed away recently and I’d like to talk to him one more time.
Q: Describe your pre-game ritual:
A: I get a BigFoot Java Italian soda to give me energy.
Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?
A: “I’m Sprung” by T-Pain, 21 Questions and 50 Cent.
From the sidelines: DHS senior Sophia Smith is a four-year varsity letter winner in Decatur’s girls soccer program. She has started and solidified the Lady Gator last line of defense the last three seasons. During the fall 2021 season, she was selected to the NPSL All-League Team. Sophia is currently enrolled in the Puget Sound Skills Center involved in hands-on learning in the nursing field. She has a 3.958 Cumulative Grade Point Average.
