From the sidelines: Federal Way High School senior Corina Aguon-Africa deserves Athlete of the Week because she truly wants the best for her team. She consistently works hard outside of practice to make herself better and takes any “failure” as a learning experience. Corina is one of the best bowlers in the league this year, but you will not see her act that way. She is so humble about her skills and mainly focuses on bettering herself versus being better than others. During practice she is always willing to help her teammates improve. I could take the credit for teaching the players how to improves their throw but that would be taking the credit away from Corina. She spends a lot of her time during practice helping the girls with their throw, their approach, and their curve. She is the heart of the team and we would not be where we are today without her.
