Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Jan. 11: Corina Aguon-Africa

Aguon-Africa is the only freshman on Federal Way’s girls bowling team.

Federal Way High School’s Corina Aguon-Africa, girls bowling, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Jan. 11.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Math.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?

A: Bowling, music, any form of art, volleyball.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Mom and Grandpa.

Q: Do you have a pre­game/competition ritual or post­game tradition, and what is it?

A: Making sure I have something to eat during, pre-walk the lanes.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Japanese Denim” by Daniel Caesar

From the sideline: Corina has been a great addition to the team this year. She is the only freshman on varsity and has a 145 average with a high of 216. Corina gets along really well with her teammates and is always willing to help out new bowlers. She always stays positive regardless of how the match is going.
