Federal Way High School junior London Houston, wrestling, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Feb. 21.

A: American government.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: Wrestling.

A: Mom – Heide Adams.
Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:
A: “Take it one match at a time, you can’t overlook anybody.”
Q: Describe your pre-match ritual and your favorite post-match meal?
A: Pre – I listen to “Hot Shower” by Chance the Rapper. After weigh-in, I eat a BLT from Subway.
Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?
A: “Juke Jam” by Chance the Rapper.
From the sideline: Federal Way High School junior London Houston is the ultimate competitor. She is 34-1 this season and recently eclipsed the 100-win mark. London has 90 pins with 104 wins. Although, her greatest feat may not be on the wrestling mat. She is taking a full load of rigorous college classes at Highline College. London became a two-time girls wrestling state champion at the WIAA Mat Classic XXXII State Wrestling Tournament last weekend at the Tacoma Dome. Last year, London was the 125-pound state champion, and this year she took home the 130-pound title.
