Athlete of the Week:
Decatur High School’s Ramona Jagger, girls basketball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Dec. 28.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Horticulture.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?
A: Volleyball, photography and anything fashion related.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My dad and all my coaches.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: Before a game I listen to music, and review plays and moves in my head.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: “Bellyache” by Billie Eilish.
From the sideline: Junior Ramona Jagger competed in the fall on the Decatur girls volleyball team. Ramona is averaging double digits in rebounds and points over the first five games of the basketball season. She was selected for the role of co-captain of the varsity girls basketball team, based on leadership she demonstrates as a student-athlete. Ramona has earned a 4.0 cumulative grade point average in a rigorous college prep schedule including multiple advanced placement courses.
