Decatur High School’s Tyrasia Haeup, track and field, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for April 26.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Calculus.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: I enjoy gymnastics and singing.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My coaches, Gabby and Isaac.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: Going out to eat with my teammates after meets.

From the sideline: Decatur High School junior Tyrasia Haeup is among the leaders in the North Puget Sound League in the 100M and 300M hurdles, and high jump. She is also a member of the Decatur High School gymnastics team that participated in the WIAA 4A State meet. Tyrasia has excelled in the classroom earning a 4.0 cumulative grade point average in a rigorous college prep schedule including multiple Advanced Placement courses in English and social studies. Tyrasia has demonstrated leadership in her current elected position as Decatur High School Associated Student Body Community Relations Representative.
