Thomas Jefferson High School’s Gjianni White, girls tennis, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for April 12.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Biology.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: Cooking.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My mom and dad.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: I always have a snack and stretch my shoulder.

From the sidelines: TJHS junior Gjianni White has had an incredible start to her season. She won the No. 2 singles match versus Enumclaw 6-3, 6-0 on March 26. On March 28, she played a double-header versus Todd Beamer, winning No. 1 in doubles 6-0, 6-1 and then coming back in the second match to win 6-2, 6-2 in No. 2 singles. Most recently, Gjianni won 6-0, 6-1 versus Decatur on April 2 playing No. 2 singles. On April 4, Gjianni won 6-0, 6-0 playing doubles against Auburn. Gjianni has helped lead TJHS to a 9-0 record. Thomas Jefferson High School is the defending league champion.
