Thomas Jefferson High School’s Angel Swamy, golf, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Sept. 14.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Physical education because I get to do what I like and being active.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?
A: Other than playing golf, I enjoy watching Netflix, sleeping and eating.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: Definitely my mom and sister. They always encourage me, support me, and push me to do my best.
Q: Do you have a pregame/competition ritual or postgame tradition, and what is it?
A: On the way to matches with my sister and teammates, we listen to “Toot it and Boot it” and also try to give a pep talk to my team.

A: “Trip” by Ella Mai.
From the sideline: Golfer Angel Swamy scored a team high of 17 points versus Todd Beamer in the Raiders opening golf match. As a captain, Angel is always leading by example with her work ethic and eagerness to get better everyday.
