Thomas Jefferson High School’s Ali Saucedo, girls cross country, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Nov. 10.
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: History because I love the debates and argumentative writing assignments, as well as projects
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you participate in?
A: Basketball and soccer
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My mom and dad for all that they do and my coaches for believing in me
Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?
A: Our team has pasta dinners and tempo runs on Mondays

A: None

“Ali Saucedo, as a freshman, currently has the eighth fastest 5-kilometer time in the entire NPSL league at 20 minutes, .05 seconds,” Thomas Jefferson coach Paul Ruston said. “She is the Federal Way Public Schools All-City meet champion, which places her third all time on the TJHS home course as a freshman. She has also won the Decatur-Auburn three-way meet, as well as the Federal Way-Auburn Mountainview three-way meet. Ali qualified for the West Central District meet, as well as the WIAA state meet.”
