Todd Beamer Titans senior point guard Stef’fun Singleton was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 9-13.
Singleton broke the school record for points in a game when he scored 40 during a loss to Enumclaw on Jan. 6. He followed his record performance with a 21-point performance in a win against Auburn Mountainview, giving Singleton 61 points in two games.
“Stef is just a tremendous player,” Beamer coach Brent Brilhante said. “There are few guys that go to the basket, get beat up like he does and still try to go back play after play. He’s just a phenomenal player.”
As a junior, Singleton averaged 11 points per game. This year, he is up to 23.3 points per game, which is among the highest in the North Puget Sound League.
“Just keep shooting,” Singleton said. “If I’m on, I just continue shooting, but if I’m off, there’s four other guys there who are just as good.”
