The Federal Way Eagles will play for the Class 4A state championship for the second year in a row.
The No. 1-ranked and tournament favorite Eagles dispatched of the Kentridge Chargers Friday night inside the Tacoma Dome in the first of two semifinal games, 66-54.
Federal Way will take on the No. 2-ranked Garfield Bulldogs at 9 p.m. Garfield dominated the Foss Falcons Friday.
Against Kentridge, the Eagles separated during a decisive third quarter thanks to the scoring of senior Andre Barrington. The Washington State University football signee tallied 12 of his game-high 22 points to give Federal Way a 45-33 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Senior Jeff Forbes finished with 16, senior Michael Hale chipped in 12 and junior Cole Dickerson had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
