All four Federal Way school district teams won their SPSL games Friday night, including three by shutout.
The Thomas Jefferson Raiders (8-3-1) remained in first place in the SPSL North with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Kentwood. After falling behind 1-0, the Raiders tallied a pair of second-half goals to walk away with the win.
Austin Egerton scored both goals just five minutes apart. Jimmy Oganga assisted on Egerton’s first goal in the 49th minute and Chase Hanson picked up the assist in the 54th minute.
The Todd Beamer Titans also remained in first place in the SPSL South with a 5-0 shutout of Bethel Friday. The Titans (9-1-2) got a hat trick from Brent VanWechell and a pair of goals from Ugo Okoli during the win.
VanWechell’s goals came in the 17th, 42nd and 69th minutes and Okoli scored in the 41st and 77th minutes. Senior Ben Draeger picked up the shutout in net for the Titans.
Decatur remained four points back of Beamer in the SPSL South with a 6-0 shutout of Graham-Kapowsin Friday in Federal Way. Dominique Dismuke finished with a hat trick by scoring Decatur’s first three goals of the game.
The Gators (8-2-1) also got a pair of goals from Josh Smith and a single goal from Jimmy Hong. Conner Adkisson got the shutout in goal.
The Federal Way Eagles (5-4-3) shutout Kentlake Friday, 4-0. The Eagles got a pair of goals from Kelyn Rowe and single goals from Brad Lewis and Max Ward. Eddie Gomez got the shutout in goal for the Eagles.
