The Decatur Gators remained unbeaten in South Puget Sound League 3A Division play with a blowout of the Enumclaw Hornets Tuesday night in Enumclaw, 62-37.
The Gators (8-4 overall, 3-0 SPSL 3A) got their most balanced scoring of the season with nine players scoring during the win. Decatur’s leading scorer, Jerron Smith, finished with 13, as did Austen Wilson. Dom Hunter chipped in 12 and point guard Markus Rawls finished with nine points.
After playing to a 14-14 tie after the first quarter, the Gators exploded in the second quarter, outscoring the Hornets, 25-9. Decatur continued to add to its lead in the second half.
The Gators will take on the third-ranked Lakes Lancers Friday night for the top spot in the SPSL 3A Division. Lakes is also unbeaten in league play. The game is in Lakewood.

at Federal Way 63, Spanaway Lake 57 — The Eagles (6-5 overall, 5-3 SPSL South) got 27 points from senior guard Jerry Duckworth and overcame a fourth-quarter deficit to the Sentinels Tuesday at Federal Way.
Spanaway Lake took a 47-45 lead into the final period, but the Eagles outscored the Sentinels, 18-10, during the fourth. Napa Mefi finished with 11 points and Deshea Bell chipped in 10.
Federal Way will take on the Franklin Quakers at 6 p.m. at the Bank of America Arena at the University of Washington Monday evening at the King Holiday Hoopfest. Franklin is the fifth-ranked Class 3A team in the state.
at Puyallup 78, Beamer 75 — The Vikings needed overtime to get past the Titans Tuesday night. The SPSL South Division game was back-and-forth all night, before Puyallup outscored Beamer, 8-5, during the four-minute overtime session.
The Titans (3-8, 2-6) got a big scoring game from senior guard Thomas Rhodes, who finished with 28 points. Senior Mac Gridley finished with 20 and Derek Brown chipped in 19.
Mount Rainier 61, Jefferson 44 — The Raiders remained winless in the SPSL North with a loss to the Rams Tuesday night at home.
Jefferson (3-9, 0-8) held a two-point lead at halftime, but Mount Rainier outscored the Raiders, 38-19, in the second half. Chase Braxmeyer and Kendall Green led TJ with 10 points each.
