The young, but talented Federal Way Eagles couldn’t hang with one of the best teams in the South Puget Sound League South Division. The 10th-ranked Curtis Vikings outscored the Eagles, 20-2, in the fourth quarter to win 71-46.
The loss drops Federal Way to 8-8 overall and 7-5 in the South Puget Sound League South Division, which is good for fourth place. The top-five finishers in the league advance to the postseason. Curtis moved to 11-2 in league play.
The Eagles jumped out to a quick 18-12 lead over the Vikings after the first quarter. But Curtis controlled the game from there, outscoring Federal Way, 59-28, in the final three quarters.
Napa Mefi led the Eagles with 12 points and Deshea Bell chipped in nine points.
