Offense
Quarterback — Kama Frank, Jefferson
The senior led the entire South Puget Sound League in passing yards with 1,988. Frank also had 12 touchdown passes and led the Raiders in rushing yards with 293 yards and three touchdown carries. Frank completed nearly 50 percent of his passes on the season and had two games over 300 yards. He had three TD passes in TJ’s season-ending win over Beamer.
Running back — Andre Barrington, Federal Way
The Federal Way senior might be the most gifted athlete in the SPSL. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder ran for over 1,000 yards for the third-straight season with 1,169 yards, despite missing the first two games of the season. Barrington also tallied 13 total touchdowns, including 11 on the ground, one receiving and he also threw for another in a playoff win over Gig Harbor. Barrington was a huge reason why the Eagles advanced into the state playoffs for the first time since 1976 after finishing third in the SPSL North and was a first-team, All-SPSL North choice for the second year in a row. He has already verbally committed to play defensive back next season at Washington State University. Last year, Barrington ran for 1,028 yards and had 18 touchdowns.
Wide receiver — Spenser Sydney, TJ; Jun Park, TJ; Benjamin Draeger, Beamer; Conner McFaul, Decatur
The 6-4 Sydney finished with 46 catches for 624 yards and four touchdowns. Sydney had three games with over 100 yards receiving, including nine catches for 169 yards and a touchdown against Kent-Meridian.
Park led the SPSL in receptions with 51 for the Raiders. He totaled 567 yards and had two touchdowns. Park also completed a 70-yard pass.
Draeger led the Titans with 24 catches for 295 yards and two touchdowns. The junior’s best game of the season came in Beamer’s opener against Spanaway Lake with five catches for 100 yards and two TDs.
McFaul tallied 20 catches for 278 yards and five touchdowns for the Gators. The senior tallied two touchdown catches and 69 yards in a win over Beamer on Nov. 1.
Offensive line — Andru Pulu, Federal Way; Jordan Ramos, Federal Way; Jordan Maulolo, Federal Way; Joe Satterwhite, TJ; Tevyn Tillman, Decatur
The big guys up front were solid all season long across the Federal Way school district. The five All-City offensive linemen average 6-2, 230 pounds, led by the 290-pound Jordan Maulolo. Tillman was the state champion in the heavyweight division last winter for the Gator wrestling team.
Kicker — Keyln Rowe, Federal Way
The junior kicker is one of the best soccer players in the country and has already committed to play at UCLA. Rowe made six field goals with a long of 40 yards and made 32 of 34 extra points.
Defense
Defensive line — Damon Hardy, Federal Way; Winston Gatlabayan, Federal Way; Damon Britt, Decatur; Tevyn Tillman, Decatur
The undersized Hardy (6-0, 195), had three sacks on the season playing on the defensive line. Gatlabayan led the Eagles’ in sacks during the season with 6.5. The 6-1, 205-pounder had two sacks against Jefferson on Halloween. Britt gained plenty of respect across the SPSL during the season. The sophomore was named the SPSL South’s defensive lineman of the year and features the prototypical size for playing college football (6-4, 280). Tillman was also a first-team, All-SPSL South selection for the Gators on the defensive line. Tillman is 6-1, 250 pounds.
Linebacker — Andru Pulu, Federal Way; Andre Barrington, Federal Way; Joe Satterwhite, TJ; Matt Turner, Decatur
Pulu was the man in the middle of the Federal Way defense for the third year in a row and was named the lineman of the year in the SPSL North. The 6-3, 250-pounder has already verbally committed to play at the University of Washington next season, but will most likely play on the defensive line. Barrington stepped in at middle linebacker for Pulu when he tore the MCL in his knee late in the season. Satterwhite is big and fast and was an honorable mention selection in the SPSL North. Turner, a junior, was a second-team, All-SPSL South selection after leading the Gators in tackles.
Defensive backs — Rian Miller, Federal Way; Jonny Volland, TJ; John Duncan, Decatur
Miller was matched against much bigger receivers during the season, but flourished in the Eagles’ defensive backfield. The 5-6, 140-pounder was a second-team, All-SPSL North selection. Volland, a 5-10 junior, had a pair of interceptions for the Raiders and was an honorable mention, All-SPSL North pick. Duncan was also the Gators’ starting quarterback much of the season and accounted for five touchdowns (three passing and two rushing) in a win over Beamer. As a defensive back, he finished with 11 tackles against Auburn and also returned kicks and punts for Decatur.
Punter — Wylie Johnson, TJ
The 6-4, 190-pound senior averaged 36.6 yards a punt for the Raiders, including a long of 49. Johnson also caught 13 passes for 337 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver.
