This week, the Mirror welcomes a new reporter, Sarah Kehoe.

Kehoe replaces former reporter Greg Allmain, who has moved on to new endeavors.

Before joining the Federal Way newsroom, Kehoe was a reporter at the bi-monthly Bothell/Kenmore Reporter.

During her time with the sister-newspaper, she covered stories on various topics from crime, breaking news, city government to education.

Kehoe grew up in Washington state, attending high school in Olympia and college at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, where she graduated with a journalism and psychology degree.

While at Pacific Lutheran University, she interned for the Olympian and blogged for political events at the Tacoma News Tribune.

She also studied media abroad in Australia for a semester, working in newsrooms, television stations and radio stations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Kehoe lives in Renton.

At the Mirror, she will be a general assignment and sports reporter and she looks forward to connecting with coaches, athletes and parents of the various sports teams.

When I asked her what she enjoyed most about working for a community newspaper, Kehoe said she loves connecting with people and learning about their stories. Everybody has one.

Please welcome me in joining Kehoe to the Mirror and to our community. You may reach her at skehoe@federalwaymirror.com, or stop by the Mirror office at 31919 First Ave. S., Suite 101 in Federal Way.
