I was reading an article in the Federal Way Mirror written by Bob Roegner. As I read the more, steam was rolling and a few off-color words were thrown around.
So what to do? I sent an email to the city clerk ordering a DVD of the Jan. 2, 2018 council meeting, which arrived in short order.
I could not believe the behavior of a certain council member. I listen to the whole meeting, including the election of the deputy mayor. The council member was campaigning from the dais.
He had a habit of doing this after anybody gave a report on something. It looked to me as if he was a small child saying, “look at me, look at me.”
On the second DVD, the council members were giving their reports. When Martin Moore gave his report — what a joke. But it wasn’t a laughing matter. He acted like a spoiled child.
I was waiting for the mayor to make a move to stop the temper tantrum and send him to his room.
I, for one, am very disappointed in our mayor. He should have stopped Moore.
We wanted a strong mayor. I, for one, am questioning what we got.
