W. Gunner Troxel, a longtime resident of Federal Way, died March 9. He was 69.

He was born in Sargent, Neb. on Oct. 25, 1934. He lived for 22 years in Federal Way.

He attended Anderson College in Indiana, Highline College and the University of Washington. He served in the military in the 1950s.

He spent much of his life in the appliance business.

He is survived by his sons, Gunnar and Corey; Carol Thompson and her sons Rick, Gary and Tom; and Joyce Troxel.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. April 3 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, located at 158 S. 168th St. in Burien.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Cancer Research Foundation at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.
