Ruth McKnight Karren, 85, a former Federal Way resident, died July 14 in Woodland Hills, Utah.
She was born July 27, 1917, in Lewiston, Utah. She attended high school in Richmond, Utah and married Meldon Karren in 1939.
At the time of her death, she was a resident of Orem, Utah. She lived previously in Federal Way and Pleasanton, Calif. She was a homemaker and served four missions.
Survivors include her eight children —— Claudeen Hill and RaKell Petrini, both of Billings, Mont., Ned Karren of Bellevue, Kaye Jones of Blackfoot, Idaho, Gaylord Karren of Woodland Hills, Utah, Dale Karren of San Diego, Calif., Joel Karren of Orem and Mary Karren of Crane, Mont.; three sisters; one brother; 41 grandchilden and 49 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held July 18 in Logan, Utah. Interment was at Lewiston Cemetery. Arrangements were by SereniCare Funeral Directors.
