Robert James Earl lived in Federal Way WA since 1967, and on Anderson Island from 1989- 2012. He was a 20 year veteran of the US Army, retiring in 1967 as a Major. He served in the Korean War where he earned two Purple Hearts, and in Vietnam where he earned the Army Commendation Medal and 1st and 2nd Oak Clusters. From 1967 – 89 he was employed as an adjuster with Safeco Insurance.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Eleanor. Robert is survived by his sons Robert Earl, Jr (Tammy), Richard Earl, and his daughters Sharyn Earl (David Otto), and Sandra Morrow. His grandchildren are Stacy Earl (Seth Miller), Matthew Earl, and Chase Morrow.

A memorial service will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery on June 24 at 10:30 am, with Military Honors.
