Martin Edward Matthews died Aug. 22 at his home in Auburn. He was 46.

He was born Jan. 12, 1958 in Vancouver, Wash. He married Lori Kay Wagner in 1977 in Biloxi, Miss.

He served in the Air Force. Since 1981, he was an electronic technician at Boeing.

He enjoyed robotics, electronics and computer programming, and was a member of the Seattle Robotics Society.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Matthews of Auburn; daughters Tara Lynn Matthews of Auburn and Ashley Nichols of Pullman; his mother, Zella May Matthews of Yelm; brothers Roger Matthews and Ronald Matthews; and sisters Marjorie Lewis, Marilyn Cox, Barbara Matthews, Carol Matthews, Karen Henricksen and Melodie Wulfekuhle.

A memorial service was held Aug. 26 at Yahn and Son Funeral Home in Auburn. Inurnment was at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn.
