Maria Kathleen (Bott) Burrows, age 46 of Federal

Way, WA, passed away Friday, June 15th, 2012, in Tacoma, WA due to complications of cancer treatment, surrounded by her family and friends.

Maria was born on September 3rd, 1965, to parents Leslee and Larry Bott in Tacoma, WA. She graduated in 1984 from Puyallup High School, completed her Associate Degree at GRCC in 1986 and graduated with honors from WWU in 1988 with a degree in Communication.

On May 19, 2012, she earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix, one of her lifelong goals.

Maria and Clint Burrows were married on January 14th, 1989, in Tacoma, WA. They made their first home in West Seattle and in 1998 moved to Federal Way.

Maria was a PTA President and President for her networking group BNI. Maria worked for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Human Resources Inc. and the University of Phoenix.

Maria is survived by her husband, Clint, and daughter Kelsey, of Federal Way, son Tyler of Sidney, MT, and parents, Leslee and Larry Bott, of Puyallup, and sisters Lisa (Jim) Wolch of Puyallup, Krista Ramstad of Montesano WA, and Teresa (Chad) Goelzer of Puyallup, nine nieces and nephews and two great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tacoma, WA at 2 pm on Friday, June 22nd.
