Louise M. Thomas died March 2 at her home in Belmor Park in Federal Way. She was 71.

She was born in Greenville, S.C.

She was an assistant at Parkside Nursing Home.

She was a member of Belmor Park Ladies Golf and Phi Beta Psi, Gamma Delta Chapter, a sorority raising funds for cancer research.

Survivors include her companion, Don Broadhead of Federal Way; a son, Wayne Laws of Greenville; a brother, Buddy Merritt of Greenville; and sisters Frances Herron and Christine Marlow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mabel Merritt.

A service is scheduled for 3 p.m. March 21 at the Belmor Park clubhouse.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Phi Beta Psi, Gamma Delta Chapter, 2101 S. 324th St., No. 326, Federal Way, WA 98003.
