Lola Virginia Radcliffe died May 20 at Avalon Healthcare in Federal Way. She was 78.

While living in Wichita, Kan., she had a 35-year career in labor relations for Boeing until her retirement in 1981.

Survivors include sons Dale Herman of Federal Way and Richard Herman of Enumclaw, step-daughter Linda Ortiz of Kent, sisters Bonnie Chinn and Betty Lutz, both of Kansas, and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Emmett Herman (married in 1943) and Joseph Radcliffe (married in 1982), parents, Lester Glendale and Susie Bell Freeman, and three brothers and three sisters.

In lieu of a service or flowers, the famly suggests a memorial be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., Sixth Floor, New York, NY 10001.
