Lloyd Arthur Thacker died Jan. 22 at Hallmark Manor. He was 78.

He was born Aug. 2, 1925, and was a Federal Way resident since 1972. He received five medals for his service in World War II and the Korean War. He worked at Boeing for 33 years until he retired in 1989.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Barbara of Federal Way; children Diane Sowers of Grandview, Karrie Turpin of Tigard, Ore., Rebecca Bonsell of Rochester, Janet Flood of Aberdeen, Michael Stafford of Auburn, Arthur Thacker of Federal Way and Cory Thacker of Mill Creek; a sister, Lucille Bates of Spokane; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Jan. 31 at First Baptist Church, 22415 19th Ave. S., Des Moines.
