Kenneth Benson Clark McDonald of Federal Way died Jan. 3. He was 85.
He was born Feb. 14, 1919 in Gibson’s Landing, British Columbia, to Margaret and Benson Smith McDonald.
After serving as a paratrooper during World War II, he established several financial management consulting firms. He was a pioneer in the computerized accounting field. After retirement, he taught at community colleges.
In 1991, he and his wife moved to Federal Way from the Shoreline-Edmonds area to be near their daughter and her family.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise; a daughter, Marilyn Locking; a son, Robert Benson McDonald; and two grandchildren.
A private inurnment service was conducted at Tahoma National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests acts of kindness for someone in need.
