Karen Ann Harwood of Federal Way died Sept. 10 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma. She was 46.

She was born May 25, 1959 in Seattle. She was a 1977 graduate of Federal Way High School and was a lifetime resident of Federal Way and Auburn.

She was the office manager at Active U.S.A., Inc, where she was employed for 29 years.

Survivors include her son Beau David; parents Gary and Gloria Harwood; and brothers Mark Nichols, Brian Nichols, Wayne Nichols, Chock Nichols and Gary Harwood.

A celebration of her life will begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 21 at Generational Hope Christian Center in Maple Valley.

At the suggestion of the family, memorials may be made to Children’s Orthopedic Hospital Foundation, MS:S-200, P.O. Box 50020, Seattle, WA 98145-5020.
