Joseph B. Weigel of Federal Way died Aug. 31. He was 87.
He was born May 14, 1917, in Napoleon, N.D. He was a south King County-area resident since 1963 and spent winters in Apache Junction, Ariz.
He was a 15-year employee of Puget Sound Power & Light (now Puget Sound Energy), retiring from building maintenance in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Weigel, of Des Moines; sons Larry Weigel of Federal Way and Clarence Weigel of Des Moines; daughters Helen Roshau and Gladys Madsen of Auburn, and Marge Bauman of Puyallup; a sister, Agatha Mitzel of Bismark, N.D.; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was conducted Sept. 3 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, followed by burial at Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way. Arrangements were by Yahn and Son Funeral Home in Auburn.
