John Lewis Hall of Auburn West Hill died April 1 in Renton. He was 71.

Born on May 24, 1931 in Seattle to Charles and Lola Hall, he served in the Air Force, taught third and fourth grade in the Auburn School District between 1957 and 1987, and was active in the Mayflower Society.

Survivors include his wife, Frances; a brother, Robert; children Don, Jennifer, Lisa and John; and four grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, no funeral or memorial service were held.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
