Joanna Hanson of Auburn died Jan. 29. She was 72.
Born in 1932, she grew up in Milwaukee, Wis.
After college, she moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where she lived for 37 years before moving to the Puget Sound area in 1996.
She was active in church and community organizations.
Survivors include her children, Lynne Miller of Kent, Kathryn Arstein of Tacoma and Darran Hanson of Singapore; a brother, Gerald of Texas; a sister, Jean of Colorado; and six grandchildren.
A celebration of her life is scheduled for 3 p.m. Feb. 13 at Christ’s Church, located at 941 S. Dash Point Road.
