Janis E. Knight died Jan. 19 in Federal Way. She was 63.

Born and raised in Seattle, she was a 30-year resident of Federal Way and a member of Christian Faith Center. For the past 14 years, she spent a lot of time in the Vancouver area, where she was active ministering the gospel at Rove Vista Nursing Center.

Survivors include her husband, Harrell; her mother, Mrs. Michael Tuscher Sr. of Federal Way; children Tim Knight of Seattle, Ed Knight of Auburn and Scarlett Hash of Vancouver; sisters Michelle Tuscher of Federal Way and Arlene Carle of Anchorage, Alaska; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael E. Tuscher Sr., and a brother, Michael.

A memorial was held Jan. 29 in Vancouver.
