James E. Turner died May 24 at the University of Washington Medical Center.
Turner was born March 6, 1953 in Seattle and graduated from Federal Way High School in 1971.
He served in the Navy for six years aboard a guided missile cruiser. After finishing his tour of duty, he completed his bachelor of science in electrical engineering at the University of Washington in 1981. He earned a masters in the same field at UW in 1988. He worked for Boeing for 22 years.
He served as a deacon at Christ’s Church in Federal Way and taught Sunday school for many years. He coached Little League baseball for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; sons John, Tim and Todd; his parents, John and Maxine; brothers David and Bill; and a sister, Sheri Dunn.
A memorial service was conducted May 28 at Christ’s Church.
The family suggests remembrances be made to the Christ’s Church building fund.
